I thought I was pretty tan before I got here. HAHA. I look really pasty compared to the locals. I pretty much stick out like a sore thumb... tall, light skin, blonde hair.
Today was my first day at "work". I was up before my alarm, again, which to me is so annoying. I hope that I can sleep through the night tomorrow. It's 7:15p here now, i.e. 1:15a at home, and I am slam exhausted. I bike a mile to work and a mile back... and you can't bike and talk on the phone at the same time (sorry Johnathan... I almost crashed so I had to stop and just chat for a minute). I should have brought my hands-free set, oh well. There are a lot of things I should have brought. Oh well!
I really enjoyed work... I got to practice some Passive and Active Assisted Range of Motion, Patellar Mobilization and Tracking, Massage, Documentation, and of course a lot of observation and learning.
We went to this pretty cool medeterraian place for lunch, I'm sure everyone else would love it! I had a spicy chicken pita (plain)... the woman thought I was crazy ordering it plain. It was great!! :)
I went for a run with Amira (PT student from UO) and Jamie (works at the clinic) after work... and I really stink at running. Before I came, I was mainly doing the elictipal machine and walking with Kristen around the track... so switching to running didn't really work. They ran... I ended up walking. My calves and my right foot hurt... and I ended up getting a blister on the BOTTOM of my foot because it started pouring... like, monsoon pouring. We were drenched when we got back to the car.
Love it here... I miss Johnathan a ton. He keeps asking if it is May 7 yet. Nope... but it's closer than it was yesterday!
Dinner time!
ps. Groceries are ridiculous here... $4 for a gallon of milk (which semi-froze in my fridge last night so I had slushee cereal)... and $3 for bread!!!
